Smoked St. Louis Style Maple Glazed BBQ Ribs!
Sometimes we all just need a little SLOW roasted BBQ to tame the soul. I got the idea for these ribs from betterbegrilled.com, and their take on Maple Cayenne Ribs.
What you'll need:
For the Glaze:
OH YEAH BABY these are THE BOMB!
What you'll need:
- 1 BIG slab of St. Louis style ribs
For the RUB:
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 1/4 c. Frank's Red Hot Sauce
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. ketsup
- 1 tbsp lemon zest
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
To prepare:
- Preheat your charcoal grill for indirect grilling
- Mix all of the rub ingredients together and rub both sides of the ribs with your hands
- Place ribs on the grill over the indirect heat. Close the lid and cook for 4 hours at 250 degrees F.
- Mix all glaze ingredients together, and simmer for 15 minutes
- Glaze the ribs 10 -15 minutes before taking the off the grill. the Ribs are done when the meat has shrunk off about 1 inch from the bones.
- Cover the ribs, let them sit for 15 minutes before serving!
